The Next Step to Better Photographs - Practice

The Previous Article in the series was "The Essentials - Focus"

As I said in an earlier article "Learning and understanding the basics of how to set up the camera yourself actually takes you a long way towards improving your photography technique and therefore taking better photographs."

The previous four articles cover these basics and provide the memory jogger that I have emblazoned on my memory to be recalled every time I pick up a camera -

Tomorrow afternoon I depart for my next adventure - a tour of South Africa. The last thing my father said to me 30 years ago "if you ever get the chance son, visit South Africa". Well it's taken me a while to do his bidding but I'm looking forward to the opportunity for some new images in my personal gallery … and the occasional glass of wine!!

I hope you enjoy your photography whilst I am away and that the thoughts covered in my articles help you. Do upload your better photographs to this website and maybe enter the competitions. Not winning never means a bad photograph, merely that it was not to the judge's subjective liking.

Finally, please leave a comment if you have any questions for my return in a month's time.

Cheerio for now,

John

The Next Article in the series will be "Creative Ideas for your Photographs"
